Indelible images: 1. The first time I visited the Watson home, I wasn't sure what to expect with Ray. When Kathy and I drove up in her VW, she opened the garage and there was Ray's brown VW Scirocco. I laughed inside - I like this guy! 2. I took Ray's support of public education to heart. He was so disappointed in Prop 13. My children went to public schools from K through college and I often considered Ray's opinion on this issue. He was such a supporter of education. 3. I remember getting lost in Woodbridge and thinking "curse you Ray Watson" :) I couldn't see the street signs! No doubt - my error. What a renaissance man, and so much fun.
